This is my 14th year of teaching. This is my 9th year teaching 8th grade math and Algebra I in Madisonville. Before moving to Madisonville, I taught math for 4 years in North Baltimore, OH (the first 3 years were just Algebra I and Algebra II, and then the last year it was Algebra I, Algebra II, and 7th Grade Math) and 1 year in Huntsville (grades 5-12 math/special education).
I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated (Grades 7-12) Math Education and a Master's Degree in Intervention Specialist (Special Education) in 2011. While at BGSU, I participated in the Falcon Marching Band, Athletic Band, Dance Marathon, Honors Program, Tuition Raffle, and American Red Cross Club.

I live in Madisonville, with my husband Mr. Brown (the band director, not principal...to see his website click here), our four-year-old daughter Cadence, our (almost) two-year-old son Matthew, and our cat, Hoagie. I am also expecting our third child, due in February 2021. I absolutely love being a mommy to Cadence and Matthew!! I love music, all types and forms. I play the flute. My other hobbies include reading, watching sports (go BGSU Falcons), playing games, traveling, and volunteering. I greatly enjoy attending church, helping others, teaching, and supporting my students!!
I was born in Lubbock, TX, but I grew up in Carey, OH, a small town, about halfway between Toledo, OH and Columbus, OH. My parents (an engineer and former teacher's aide) still live in Ohio. I have two sisters. April, is a physics teacher at Stratford High School in Spring Branch ISD. She is married to Josh Glover, who formerly taught and coached in Madisonville and is now at Westbury Christian in Houston, and they are the proud parents of my nephew, Josiah. My other sister is Tamara, who is an elementary teacher at Shadydale Elementary in Houston ISD. All three of us went to BGSU.
